Approximately 150 Weston 670s were built by Weston boats of Colchester, Essex. It was designed for mainly river use but can also be used in sheltered estuaries. The hull shape is a medium V with a long shallow keel. It sleeps 4, with two berths in the front cabin and two in the aft cabin. There is a galley and a separate toilet compartment.

Specifications

Avanti was built in 1987.  She has a Boat Safety Certificate until 2021, and has a 25 HP 4 – stroke  petrol Mercury outboard which has been recently serviced. The carpets and flooring are new throughout. The boat has both 12V and 240V power systems, plus a small solar panel and battery charger for the leisure battery. There are also 2 new greenhouse heaters.

In the galley, Avanti has a 2-burner gas hob and sink, both with hinged covers, as well as storage cupboards. She has a cold running water system. The centre roof can be removed to bring even more light into the boat.
